Located in the heart of the Medieval village of Scotlandwell, The Well Country Inn has been welcoming visitors for over 300 years.
At the centre of the village is an ancient holy well whose legendary curative properties led the Scottish king Robert the Bruce to visit seeking a cure for his leprosy.
It’s reputation also made it a place of pilgrimage during the Middle Ages and for several centuries after.
The well is also said to have been visited by Charles II and Mary Queen of Scots.
If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in central Scotland, The Well Country Inn is the place to eat, drink and stay.
From fishing on Loch Leven, shooting, golfing, cycling and gliding to spectacular walks in the woodlands and hills, there’s something for everyone.
For city lovers, Edinburgh, Perth, Dundee and St Andrews are all only a short drive away.
